A pastoral care curriculum that grows with your students

Supporting student wellbeing, character, and development is one of the most complex responsibilities schools face today.

Pastoral care is expected to do more than ever. It must build belonging, strengthen relationships, develop resilience, support wellbeing, and prepare students for life beyond school. Yet in many schools, pastoral care remains fragmented or inconsistent, often changing year to year depending on staff, time, or competing priorities. This creates unnecessary pressure on teachers and uneven experiences for students.

GROWTH exists to change that.

We provide schools with a structured, evidence-informed pastoral care curriculum that grows with students from Year 7 to Year 12, bringing clarity, consistency, and confidence to one of the most important areas of school life.

The GROWTH
Pastoral Care Program

The GROWTH Pastoral Care Program is a six-year, developmentally sequenced curriculum designed by teachers, for teachers.

Rather than isolated lessons or short-term initiatives, GROWTH provides schools with a clear, coherent pastoral care pathway that supports students throughout adolescence. Each year level builds intentionally on the last, addressing key stages such as transition, belonging, relationships, responsibility, wellbeing, leadership, independence, and future readiness.

Each year level is:
• Developmentally appropriate
• Relevant to students’ lived experiences
• Consistent across cohorts and year levels

The result is a curriculum that strengthens wellbeing, character, relationships, and leadership without adding complexity or workload.

Who is the Program for

GROWTH is designed for schools seeking a clear, consistent, and sustainable approach to pastoral care across Years 7–12. It supports school leaders, pastoral care teams, and teachers by providing a structured, evidence-informed curriculum that reduces preparation and strengthens meaningful conversations with students. Through purpose-designed print-based booklets and ready-to-use lessons, GROWTH encourages students to slow down, reflect, and engage with others, while giving teachers practical resources that are easy to facilitate in real classrooms.

For school leaders seeking a coherent whole school pastoral care framework, with consistency across year levels and alignment across staff.

GROWTH provides leadership teams with confidence that pastoral care is intentional, developmentally sequenced, and sustainable over time. It supports whole-school alignment by ensuring every year level follows a clear pathway, helping leaders strengthen wellbeing, character development, and student leadership while reducing reliance on ad hoc or staff-dependent programs.

For leaders responsible for pastoral care, wellbeing, and student development, who need a clear and coherent wellbeing journey with structure and continuity from Year 7 to Year 12.

GROWTH supports pastoral care leaders by providing a structured curriculum that addresses key stages of adolescence, including identity, relationships, resilience, responsibility, and future readiness. It enables leaders to implement a program that builds progressively each year while maintaining a shared language and consistent approach across staff and year levels.

For teachers delivering mentor, homeroom, or wellbeing sessions, who want minimal preparation requirements, clear lesson structure, and confidence in delivery.

GROWTH provides ready-to-use lessons, guided student booklets, and clear facilitation resources that allow teachers to focus on meaningful conversations rather than creating materials from scratch. The structured lesson format supports discussion, reflection, and connection, helping teachers facilitate important pastoral conversations in a way that is practical, engaging, and easy to deliver.

Who We Are

GROWTH Education is led by Brendon Gilbert, Andrew Watson, and Chris Beechey, an experienced education leadership team with deep expertise across pastoral care, wellbeing, teaching and learning, and whole-school leadership.

Together, the team brings decades of experience working with adolescents across every stage of secondary schooling and supporting schools at both operational and strategic levels. This includes working alongside school leadership teams to strengthen pastoral care structures, align programs with school strategy, and support sustainable whole-school implementation.

Year Booklets
The GROWTH Booklets are the primary way students experience the GROWTH Pastoral Care Program. They are not standalone resources or individual products. The booklets are the delivery tool that brings the six-year pastoral care curriculum to life in classrooms, mentor groups, and homerooms. Each student receives a purpose-designed booklet that supports discussion, reflection, and meaningful engagement across the year.
